This documentary photography portfolio brings together the stories of Alexander Bee, a photographer based in Brittany. Each series is presented by country, with a photo gallery and a context text.
The stories cover the Horn of Africa, Iraq, East and West Africa, the Indian Himalayas and Brittany. They deal with migration, displacement, access to water, hard trades and portraits of residents.
Most of these series were made between 2019 and 2022. They rely on meetings in the field and on testimonies collected on the spot.
Each page gathers a gallery, a context text and links to the other series. You can open every photo in large size in a viewer.
This portfolio will grow with each new story. Every series is built the same way: a gallery of protected photos, a short text with the facts, and links to the neighbouring stories. The aim is simple: to help you understand a place and its people, and to let the images speak first.
